Trout Brook Recreation Area
Sprawling 660-acre conservation land in Holden, the Trout Brook Recreation Area offers more than 16 miles of trails for visitors to hike, cross-country ski, mountain-bike, snowshoe and more. Visitors can make their way to the south end where there is a little pond with picnic areas, an open field, and a lodge that can be rented daily for public or private use.
Stewart's Chocolate
Opened in 2014, Stewart’s Chocolates, located on the boarder of Holden and Jefferson, offers a wide selection of dainty bonbons that are made with premium ingredients– butter, cream, and a blend of the world’s finest chocolate. These European-styled gourmet chocolates are hand-crafted and decorated that burst with flavor, creating a perfect “Petite Pleasure”. Customers will find a variety of flavors, including vanilla lavender, orange ginger, strawberry balsamic, cherry amaretto, and tiramisu.
The Bagel Inn
Located right on Main Street in Holden, The Bagel Inn is a local business operating for more than 25 years, and recently named one of the best ten bagel shops in Massachusetts. The gourmet bagels are made from scratch every single day, using only fresh ingredients, boiled and hearth baked, and are fat and dairy free. Customers will have the option of their gourmet bagels, sandwiches, soups and salads.
Holden Hills Country Club
18-hole golf course, featuring 6,088 yards of golf from the longest tees, with a slope rating of 133 and course rating of 69.9. Holden Hills Country Club offers great views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. With any professional event, the banquet facility and staff serve a delicious meal in the function Hall, accommodating up to 200 people. After a round, golfers can head to the sports bar with two state of the art Trackman Simulators.
